The name begins on Beirut's harbour in 1954, moves through Aberdeen from 1975, and is attached to a holding since 1995.

Rashid is the son most associated with the operating side of the name today, through daily operations, logistics and supply.

Abdullah, Maya, Karim and Tariq are named on the hub as part of the same family line, without the hub assigning them specific operating roles.
